GENERAL

Personal data

Personal data is individual pieces of information about personal or factual circumstances of an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes information such as first name, surname, address, telephone number and e-mail address. Information that cannot be directly linked to your real identity – such as the number of users of a website – is not personal data.

Legal basis of the collection

The processing of personal data takes place for the implementation of precontractual measures, at the instigation and only with the permission of the person in question (Art. 6[1][b] GDPR). The processing is also necessary to protect the legitimate interests of the controller (Art. 6[1][f] GDPR), namely in order to regularly review the quality and user-friendliness of the website www.hertel-grilltechnik.de.

Server logging

When you access our website, you transfer data to our web server via your web browser (out of technical necessity). Our server is located in Germany. In order to guarantee the security of the data, the datacentre of the server meets the highest software and hardware standards (firewall cluster, securely separated into fire compartments etc.).

The following data is logged during an active connection, for the purpose of communication between your web browser and our web server:

  • - Information about the browser type and the version used
  •
  • - The operating system of the user
  • - The IP address of the user
  • - The date and time of access
  • - The website from which the user’s system accesses our website
  • - Websites that are accessed by the user’s system via our website
  • - Quantity of data transmitted

All server logs are automatically erased after six months. The data is not analysed in relation to people, and it is only stored for debugging purposes or to track attacks or attempted fraud.

Cookies

Cookies are text files that are created when visiting our website and stored on your computer. They enable an analysis of the use of the website.

The website www.hertel-grilltechnik.de places a session cookie that is deleted when you leave the website.

In addition, cookies from Google Analytics (see “Google Analytics” below) are also active.

OTHER LINKS/SERVICES

Social media buttons

Our website uses buttons from the following companies:

YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno CA 94066, USA

These social media buttons only provide links to the respective providers. As long as these buttons are not clicked on, no transfer to these providers will take place.

If you click on these buttons, you will be redirected to the website of the respective provider. Regardless of whether you were registered with the respective provider at the time of clicking, your data will be processed in accordance with the data usage guidelines of this provider and potentially gathered for profiling, which is not within our area of responsibility.

Further information about the data usage guidelines of the individual providers can be found via the following links:

If you do not want these companies to collect data about you, you should not click on these buttons.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (“Google“). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and that enable an analysis of the use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about the use of this website is generally sent to a Google server in the USA, where it is stored. IP anonymisation is thereby activated; in other words, the IP address of the user is shortened by Google beforehand within member states of the European Union or other signatory states of the agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the USA, where it will be shortened. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website in order to analyse the use of the website, compile reports about the website activity, and provide the website operator with other services related to the use of the website and the use of the internet. The IP address transmitted by the user’s browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data by Google. Users can prevent the storage of cookies by setting their browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case, the user may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.

The user can also prevent the data collected by the cookie and related to the use of the website (incl. your IP address) from being logged and sent to Google, and processed by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de. In light of the discussion about the use of analysis tools with full IP addresses, we would like to point out that this website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()” and therefore only further processes IP addresses in a shortened form, in order to exclude direct reference to people. For browsers on mobile devices especially, please click on this link in order to prevent future anonymised logging by Google Analytics on this website for your browser, by means of a so-called “opt-out cookie”.
